The sculptural composition “Emotions of dreams” was presented as part of the ART-PROM festival in Kemerovo. Round plaster forms with fragments of human faces - casts - are installed on concrete pedestals. “Sleeping” faces appear on a smooth white surface, showing only part of their appearance. The viewer can independently imagine the structure and full-fledged image of the objects, reflecting on what dreams are hidden behind each fragment.
Скульптурная композиция «Эмоции сна» была представлена в рамках фестиваля «АРТ-ПРОМ» в Кемерово в мае 2010 года. Округлые гипсовые формы с фрагментами человеческих лиц – слепков – установлены на бетонных постаментах. «Спящие» лица проступают на гладкой белой поверхности, показывая лишь часть внешнего облика. Зритель может сам домыслить структуру и полноценный образ объектов, размышляя над тем, какие сны таятся за каждым фрагментом.
In the work of a sculptor, casts are an integral part of the creative process. This is the working material that remains after the implementation of certain objects. They wander from one workshop to another. The idea of giving casts a new life resulted in several different projects, the first of which was “Dream Emotions”
