I created two memorial signs for the Wrangel Island Reserve In 2014. They are dedicated to two to events connected to the location and the heroic actions of people. One memorial sign is dedicated to the crew of the ship "Karluk," which was crushed by ice, and the other to a hydrographic expedition. I used large boulders as the basis for the composition and cut one side for the images and text. The nature of the islands is extremely, and don't have big or tall objects and plants on the landscapes, dark silhouettes of the sculptures will stand out. When the ice cracks and begins to moved it shifts and changes the level. I incorporated this natural phenomenon into the composition. One memorial sign resembles the bow of a ship, and the other is a large boulder with its top cut off.
